You may have read my post last week (wow! that was already last week). No wonder I can only manage about 1 post a week (maybe 2 posts if I'm really lucky). The time just seems to be flying lately. I had fun playing with all my beads. I love the new colours. So summery and fun to work with. I came up with some really lovely colour combinations. Inspired by summer dresses with a touch of the candy shop. Modern with a real vintage feel. Perfectly feminine and fun!
Lemon yellow, mint green, sky blue necklace.
Sky blue bracelet. So light and easy on the wrist.
Gorgeous pink and mint green necklace. A virtual ice cream cone!
It's already dark at 8 p.m. The air conditioner is off and there is a cool, but welcome breeze coming through the window. Summer is fading away. New pencils and erasers have been purchased. Binders and notebooks are being sorted. New shoes have been bought. School will begin next week and the house will be quiet during the day. Even after all these years I still consider September as the start of a new year for me. A time for change, a time for new experiences. An inspired energy is awakening.
This lovely autumn inspired acorn is a new addition in my etsy shop.
I thought you might be interested to see where my inspirations come from. I'm often inspired from traveling. I recently visited Laguna Beach, California. Absolutely beautiful and the perfect fall escape.
This was taken from our hotel balcony. Divine!
...and this is what it inspired me to make when I got home.
excerpt from "Songbird" written by Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac.
I've had a fascination with songbirds for a while now. I'm not sure why. Maybe I connect to their sweet, optimistic songs.
A few years ago I heard "Songbird"for the first time performed by Rosie Thomas. It is one of my favourite songs and I love this version, by Eva Cassidy.
Let your emotions soar with this pretty little necklace.
